NEXT MEETING FOR MEMBERS

The next meeting will be Tuesday, Sept 28th, 2010 at 7pm in the Nepean Visual Arts Centre, Nepean Sportsplex. The speaker for September is TBD.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

This year's NFAL Members' Exhibition will be on at the Nepean Centrepointe theatre from Friday May 28, 2010 until Tuesday June 29, 2010.  The Members' Night Vernissage will be Monday June 7, 2010 between 7:00 and 9:30 pm; awards from the judging and member voting will be presented at that time.

The NFAL Clothesline Sale will take place on Saturday June 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Christ Church Anglican in Bells Corners.

The 2010 Winter Sale will take place on November 19 - 21 at the Hellenic Centre on Prince of Wales Dr.  Artists will set up on Friday the 19th with the sale opening Friday evening.

Registration will be open to NFAL members only - unlike previous Winter Sales, this is not a joint sale with other organizations.  The registration information and form will be distributed in the second half of 2010.  Renee Godmer will be the Winter Sale coordinator for 2010.

 

NFAL GALLERY

Established in September of 2002, the NFAL Gallery exclusively displays the artwork of artist members of the Nepean Fine Arts League. The gallery is located in the Nepean Creative Arts Centre (613-596-5783), Unit 11, 35 Stafford Rd., Nepean (Bells Corners), around the corner from the Bells Corner's Wallack's art store. Hours of operation are Mon. to Fri. 9am to 10pm., Sat. 9am to 4pm., closed Sundays and statutory holidays. During summer, these hours may vary therefore please call the gallery ahead of time. Artists exhibit individually on a monthly rotational basis. Please consult the gallery schedule for current and upcoming artist exhibitions, and contact information.

 

RECURRING EXHIBITIONS/SALES

NFAL sponsors 4 major exhibitions/sales each year.

  • The Winter Art and Pottery Sale in November at the Hellenic Center on Prince of Wales Drive.
  • The Spring Art Show in March or April.
  • The Members' Night Exhibition in June at Centrepointe in the Atrium Gallery and the Centrepointe Theatre Gallery.
  • The outdoor 'Clothesline' Sale in June at Christ Church Anglican in Bells Corners.
